SL&B; A Success Story
It was in the exuberant period of the '90s, in light of the construction of two aluminium smelters in the Mauricie region that Yvon Lavigne, President of the Lavigne & Baril Group - Construction Division, decided to establish Lavigne & Baril Services (SL&B).

Guided by his flair for business, Yvon Lavigne recognized the need for organizations to acquire access to trained and efficient manpower. He thereby developed a hiring process, recruited his team and elaborated training programs on the various operational aspects of industrial equipment and health and safety on the work site.

SL&B rapidly became the first enterprise equipped to offer qualified personnel for all sectors of aluminium smelter operations.

For fifteen years, SL&B has contributed directly to the business objectives of its clients by providing competent, efficient and safety- conscious teams for three major divisions:  

  • Primary metal aluminium smelter operational support
  • Aluminium smelter environmental waste treatment and site restoration
  • Respiratory protection
